The world’s largest gold‑producing complex — built on partnership, innovation and stewardship.

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%), created in 2019 to unite world‑class gold assets across northern Nevada. Today, it stands as the largest integrated gold‑producing complex on the planet, operating a network of mines and processing facilities unmatched in scale, flexibility and capability.

Who We Are

Nevada Gold Mines spans multiple underground and open‑pit mines, mills, roasters, autoclaves, concentrators and heap‑leach facilities across the Carlin, Cortez, Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix districts in northern Nevada.

Together, these operations safely and efficiently process a wide variety of ore types through one of the most advanced and interconnected mining networks in the world.

Mining Complexes

Nevada Gold Mines operates one of the world’s largest and most interconnected gold processing systems, enabling ore to be routed to the optimal facility across four major mining complexes.

Carlin Complex

  • 5 underground mines
  • 3 active open pits
  • Supported by a dedicated heap leach facility

Cortez Complex

  • 2 underground mines
  • 3 active open pits
  • Cortez Hills Underground contains oxide ore
  • Connected to the Cortez oxide mill and an associated heap leach facility

Turquoise Ridge

  • 2 underground mines
  • 2 open pits
  • Supported by a dedicated heap leach facility

Phoenix

  • 2 Au/Cu active open pits
  • Supported by a dedicated heap leach facility

Processing Infrastructure

Roaster Facilities

Combined Capacity: ~9.3 Mtpa
Goldstrike Roaster: ~5.6 Mtpa
Gold Quarry Roaster: ~3.7 Mtpa
Flexibility to process alternate gold-bearing material from Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix

Autoclaves

Goldstrike Autoclave: ~4.4 Mtpa capacity; has the flexibility to run as an oxide circuit
Sage Autoclave: ~3.9 Mtpa capacity; identified as a strategic 3rd party processing opportunity

Oxide Mills

Cortez Oxide Mill: ~3.8 Mtpa capacity
Juniper Oxide Mill: ~0.5 Mtpa capacity; also serves as a 3rd party processing opportunity

Concentrators & Copper Processing

Phoenix Au/Cu Concentrator: ~11 Mtpa
Copper Leach & SX/EW: ~12 Mtpa

A sulphur concentrator serves as a hub that channels material from Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix into the broader Carlin Processing Complex.

Our vision is to create long-term value for all of Nevada.

We live out that vision by embedding the principles of partnership and sustainability into every decision we make.

The profitability of our business and our corporate social responsibility go hand in hand. By supporting our employees, suppliers and stakeholders — while minimizing the environmental impacts of our operations — we bring sustainable long-term social and economic benefits to Nevada.
