Winnemucca, Nevada – Nevada Gold Mines is proud to announce an $8 million contribution to support the construction of a new community aquatics center.
The investment reflects NGM’s commitment to supporting its employees and their families, and the local community infrastructure that improves quality of life in the areas where they live and work.
Initial planning for the aquatic center began in 2019, and the final design was completed at the end of 2024. This significant investment marks a major milestone in the project by putting the secured financial resources at over 50% of the estimated total project cost of $31M.
The planned aquatics center will serve as a year-round hub for fitness, family activities, swim education, and community events.
Designed to meet the needs of residents of all ages, the facility will include modern amenities aimed at expanding access to safe and inclusive recreational programming.
