REKO DIQ PROJECT

Environment

Mining has a critical role in building community resilience and delivering the resources needed for a modern and thriving world, including the transition from carbon-intensive energy.

Like most human activities, mining impacts the natural environment and must be managed carefully to minimize the negative impacts and amplify the positive ones. We manage our impacts on the natural environment, both today and with future generations in mind.

In 2024, Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) completed a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Reko Diq Project. This assessment has been officially approved by the relevant government authorities. The Executive Summary of the ESIA Report is available in English, Urdu, and Balochi, and can be accessed through the links below. The full ESIA report is also available for download.
